My "Old Games" Lists
A place to find my repositories of old sporting events on YouTube.
Call me a historian or just hopelessly nostalgic, but I love watching old sporting events on YouTube. And it’s kind of a golden age for that kind of content, which always existed on some level but seemed to proliferate wildly during the pandemic — presumably starting during that dark time when we had no live sports to watch. Now we have surprisingly high-quality archives of old games via sources ranging from NFL Throwback to This Is Where You Find Baseball.
To do my part in aggregating it all in one place, I created a series of playlists that each quickly exceeded the 5,000-video limit and spilled over into additional volumes. Here they are:
Note that I do my best to periodically root out unavailable videos, which sometimes also changes which games are on which list. Anyway — enjoy!
Sorry for the year and 8 month late response, but this is great, thanks. I find the commercials in some of these videos to be fascinating in their own right, honestly.
This is awesome. My wife will attest that I spend far too much time watching old sporting events on youtube. She's seen more of the Phoenix Suns SSOL era than she would ever care to admit.
